Alas, I stopped following sport a few years back, so I must assume that Mr. Zito winning a game is a non-standard occurance.
Pity, that. I was a regular attendee the day he came up from the minors, watched his first pitch, his great first couple seasons. The lad had potential.

He is still in the majors, but so are the Yankees….
Oh, Zito was a great pitcher, right up until the moment that he signed for the Giants. His current record for the season is 1-8.
Oh, Zito had bad stretches when he pitched for the A’s, too. One was nearly half a season long. It’s true he doesn’t seem to have had a *good* stretch since changing to the Giants.
Great curve ball when he was on, though. I used to love it when a batter would think it was coming right at his head and drop flat on the ground, only to have the ball bend back over for a strike….
